Offers culturally safe health and wellness support for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit children and youth (0–18) involved with MCFD and/or ICFSA.
Little Cedar Wellness Clinic is a Fraser Health Indigenous Health initiative that provides specialized primary care services for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit children and youth (0–18 years) who are supported by the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) and/or an Indigenous Child and Family Service Agency (ICFSA).

Services include comprehensive health assessments, ongoing primary care, and management of acute and chronic health concerns, including mental health and behavioural challenges. The multidisciplinary team includes a nurse practitioner, registered nurse, social worker, child life specialist, Elders, cultural advisor, and clinical counsellor.

Children and youth (0–18 years) can be referred to the clinic if they self-identify as First Nations, Métis, or Inuit and have an open file with the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) and/or an Indigenous Child and Family Service Agency (ICFSA). For youth over age 18 who self-identify as First Nations, Métis, or Inuit and may benefit from the clinic’s services, please contact the clinic directly to discuss eligibility.

At the first visit, children will meet the clinic team, ask questions, and have a wellness check-in. At the second visit, children will be offered an in-depth health assessment and ongoing primary care support and services. An elder, child life specialist, and/or support person may join appointments, with more than one support person welcome.

Referrals can be made by MCFD, ICFSA, and Bands with jurisdiction.

Please note: The clinic covers the entire Fraser Health region, but is located at Kla-how-eya Healing Place in Surrey.
