HOPE for Healing - Group Therapy for Youth

A group therapy program for youth to improve their mental health resilience and self-compassion.
The Hope for Healing program is a weekly group therapy program co-facilitated by a psychiatrist, therapist, and a youth peer for students aged 16-26 hoping to improve their resilience, mental health, and self-compassion. The program is appropriate for youth:
  • Aged 16-22
  • Enrolled in a school program
  • With existing supports in community whether it is family, friends or others
  • Known for mild to moderate mood disorder
  • Looking to build therapeutic skills

In this group, patients can:
  • Share at their own pace (or just listen)
  • Learn ways to cope with stress and difficult emotions
  • Connect with others in a supportive space

Referral options:

  • Family physician or nurse practitioner referral

Details: Physician referral required. For patients who do not have a physician, complete the interest form.
