Community Health Centre (CHC) - Gold River Health Centre and Urgent Care

This clinic is staffed by a Remote Certified Nurse who provides care for community visitors and residents; there is no physician available on site. In emergencies, staff will arrange a transfer to a larger health centre. Individuals can visit this clinic if they have the following conditions or symptoms:
- Coughs, colds, sore throat
- Ear infections, and other infections or abscesses
- Urinary tract infections (also available through pharmacy)
- Skin conditions such as rashes, skin irritation, minor wounds or itchy spots
- Stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and constipation
- Minor illnesses, fevers or infections in children
- Treatment for objects in the eye
- Minor injuries including sprains and sprains
- Stitches for minor cuts and wound care
- Stabilization for hospital transport if needed
- Some reproduction and sexual health services are offered, including pregnancy testing & options, STI testing & treatment, and support and care after sexual assault.

Other Services Offered Include:
- Medical Imaging with a healthcare provider referral, and must be pre-booked by calling the health centre
- Adult Mental Health & Addiction services are available by appointment. Contact Intake in Campbell River to access.
- Youth & Family Substance Use services are available by appointment for youth under 19 and their families. Contact Intake in Campbell River to access.
