Community Health Centre (CHC) - Gold River Health Centre and Urgent Care

Offers a range of services to promote health and wellness in the community, in addition to providing care for health concerns that should be seen within 12 - 24 hours.
The Gold River Health Centre provides care for same-day, non-emergency injuries and illnesses that need medical attention within 24 hours for people living in the Gold River area. Accessible for patients who are unable to see their primary healthcare provider in that time, or do not have a primary healthcare provider. The Medical Centre and Adult Mental Health and Addiction Services are offered out of the same building; please call to book appointments for these services. Note: Additional community health and care services such as immunizations and infant services are provided through the Gold River Health Unit.
This clinic is staffed by a Remote Certified Nurse who provides care for community visitors and residents; there is no physician available on site. In emergencies, staff will arrange a transfer to a larger health centre. Individuals can visit this clinic if they have the following conditions or symptoms:

- Coughs, colds, sore throat
- Ear infections, and other infections or abscesses
- Urinary tract infections (also available through pharmacy)
- Skin conditions such as rashes, skin irritation, minor wounds or itchy spots
- Stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and constipation
- Minor illnesses, fevers or infections in children
- Treatment for objects in the eye
- Minor injuries including sprains and sprains
- Stitches for minor cuts and wound care
- Stabilization for hospital transport if needed
- Some reproduction and sexual health services are offered, including pregnancy testing & options, STI testing & treatment, and support and care after sexual assault.

- Medical Imaging with a healthcare provider referral, and must be pre-booked by calling the health centre
