Virtual Counselling

Provided by Reach Community Health Centre

Offers free virtual counselling sessions covered by MSP.
Provides free virtual counselling to residents living in the Vancouver Coastal Health area.

Patients have the option of phone or video, whichever they feel is most appropriate. Individuals who are unsure which type of appointment is appropriate are encouraged to speak with the clinic’s Medical Office Assistants (MOAs) when booking.

The following appointments can not be booked online:
  • Non English Speakers
  • Forms Appointment
  • Procedures

Instructions:
  • On the day of the appointment, clients are encouraged to find a quiet, well-lit space where they can speak freely and maintain privacy. The most effective virtual visits occur when both the client and provider can see and hear each other clearly, without concerns about being overheard.
  • To begin the virtual visit, clients should use a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone to access the virtual waiting rooms here
  • It is recommended that clients log in approximately 10 minutes before the scheduled appointment, especially for the first visit, to allow time to address any potential technical issues.
  • Clients should select the provider they are scheduled to meet with, enter a recognizable name for identification, and wait for the provider to join the video chat. If a client experiences technical difficulties and cannot access the virtual waiting room on time, the provider will attempt to reach them by phone.
